Happy International Passion Day!
Posted by: | CommentsToday is International Passion Day!!!
We can easily find ourselves just going through the motions or challenges of fertility, pregnancy, birth and parenting. Sometimes it seems like all we meet are bumps on the road.
But we are here for much more than that.
We were born to be joyful and exuberant as we journey through this life.
Often we are afraid to aim for what we truly want because we don’t feel worthy enough, competent enough or deserving enough.
But your passion for creating new life, enjoying a magical birth experience, thriving in motherhood, sacred family life, and enjoying loving, happy relationship is the pulse of the universe expressing itself through you.
What you love and God’s will for you are the same (Janet Bray Attwood and Christ Attwood).
Hand in hand with every desire we have comes the ability to realise it. We can only ever really want for what is possible.
A newborn does not desire to walk. A 3 month old has no interest in speaking. Their passions lie perfectly in the range of possibility in relation to their abilities, skills and vibration.
The same applies to you.
So whatever you are passionate about, know that having the passion is a sign that you are ready to create that reality and take steps to realise your dream NOW.

Breastfeeding, Vitamin D and The Meaning Of Life
Posted by: | CommentsOn our Blog Talk Radio show today, Maire Clements (author of the multi media ebook/ecourse ‘The New Motherly Art of Conscious Breastfeeding) and Nutritionist, Tracy Gary discussed the controversial topic of vitamin D, breast milk and whether babies should be taking supplements when being breastfed exclusively.
Maire explained the risk factors (not enough vitamin D in mom’s diet and not enough exposure to sunlight). Tracy shared with us foods that breastfeeding moms need to include in their diet so that baby gets enough vitamin D while on the breast. She also referred to an an excellent article entitled ‘Does My Baby Need Vitamin D Supplements’.
During the discussion, I was reflecting on the message behind the issue of possible vitamin D deficiency for baby when breastfeeding. What is life trying to tell breastfeeding moms in this story?
And here is my conclusion for now…
(1) Nourish yourself fully because as you nourish yourself you nourish your baby. (In my view this relates to more than just nutrition).
(2) Get out of the house and into nature.
(3) Kisses on naked skin are essential for you and your baby….. in this case kisses from the sun but feel free to generalise this one.
With an understanding of the law of attraction, when you choose to receive nourishment, tenderness, love and connect with nature you model this to your baby and both of you attract more of these life enhancing experiences into your day.

Breastfeeding Success: New Multi Media Book To Support Breastfeeding for Baby and You
Posted by: | CommentsWhen considering or practicing breastfeeding, we are faced with many opinions (often conflicting) as to the ‘proper’ way to breastfeed your baby.
This can be confusing as some breastfeeding practices are drawn from cultures that don’t mirror the reality of living in a modern world and also because baby’s expected weight gain may be based on information gathered from formula fed babies or unrepresentative samples.
So Maire Clement’s new book ‘The New Motherly Art of Conscious Breastfeeding’ is a breath of fresh air in the field.
I predict that this book will become essential reading for all professionals in the area of lactation and infant development and parents who know that breastfeeding was meant to be a joyful, fulfilling experience for all.
Maire, who has been working with mothers and babies for three decades, has distilled her vast knowledge and experience into the Conscious Breastfeeding system designed especially for modern mums.
She starts from the premise and knowing that breastfeeding should be pain-free and teaches us how to make that a reality. She also reminds us that breastfeeding is a skill that mother and baby need to learn.
Maire is a wonderful example of what we can bring forth into the world when we follow our passion and deep knowing of how life can be. This book has already been a great resource for me as I prepare for my twins.
Maire’s Conscious Breastfeeding System will serve to empower so many mums and dads….creating a beautiful foundation for your baby and you to connect deeply in a way that allows all the family to thrive.
