Birth From Dad’s Perspective- New Documentary on Father’s Experience of Birth
September 21st, 2008The trailer to this new documentary is very powerful indeed. ’The Other Side of the Glass’ looks at how current practices around birth dis-empower dads who have been overlooked in the birth process.
In this clip we are reminded that a new baby is fully conscious and involved in the process of birth and it matters how we touch and treat her.
It is a good reminder too that joy in birth and parenting requires us to honour the sacred masculine as well as the sacred feminine.

Thank you Deidre for posting this youtube video. As I mentioned before watching this, now for the fourth time-much emotion came up for me. I also encourage everyone to watch What Babies Want and Birth As We Know It. We can eliminate so much trauma by educating ourselves and reclaiming our power through consciously conceiving and birthing our children.
