I had the great pleasure of joining Maire Clements, International Lactation Expert and Coach on her Blogtalk Radio show.
(Yes, they have breasts everywhere nowadays…. perhaps that has something to do with globalisation :) And yes, Maire is so in tune with mothers and their babies that she can coach her international clients over the phone with great success).
Click below to listen to this 30 minute show which includes a beautiful visualisation guided my yours truly. (I am modeling self-value!).
Although it took place on a show about breastfeeding (which I highly recommend even to those who are past that stage), this visualisation is relevant to all women regardless of where you are in your fertility.
Listening to this will support you in your fertility and help you to relax into your pregnancy at a much deeper level.
From the Law of Attraction perspective, tuning into this kind of empowering show facilitates the process of coming into allignment with success in fertility, pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
If you have experienced miscarriage, it is worth having a listen too. Be gentle with yourself though and follow your own intuition.
Some of you have indicated that you are attracting challenges, sadness and pain (e.g. miscarriage, relationship issues, problems around bonding, difficulties around breastfeeding etc.) in your fertility and pregnancy.
No matter what your blocks, you CAN untangle the energy and come into alignment with what you truly want.
My gift of a free consultation (worth 300 euro) until the end of January ends tomorrow. You can email me at Deirdre@magicalbeginningsforbaby.com to avail of this special offer.
Or, on scale of 1-10 (1=agree completely and 10=disagree completely) how would you rate the following ‘It is hard to be a woman’.
Because the chances are that part of the download you received includes the idea that womanhood is difficult. We hear and speak of much suffering in menstruation, fertility, pregnancy and birth.
As we know, when we believe something our unconscious mind shows us evidence to support that belief……
What would life be like with a belief like ‘Being a woman is much easier that I ever thought’ or that ’All aspects of my fertility …from menstruation to pregnancy and birth bring my joy’.
Many of us have been brought up with the idea that the menstrual cycle is something that women have to endure…..yet another hardship in the life of a woman.
Indeed this important part of your fertility is often associated with phrases like‘the curse’.
Also, there can be a sense of shame around your monthly bleeding as moods change and your soul reveals to you how you really feel about your life and issues in it (if you choose to listen).
Your menstrual cycle is a part of your amazing fertility….the part of you that literally transforms something from just a possibility ….to the complete physical reality (a baby).
Your relationship with your cycle reflects your relationship with your fertility (and therefore, your experience of your femininity, intimacy, relationships, pregnancy, birth and motherhood).
What IS your attitude towards your cycle? What are the words you use to describe it? How DO you respond to its arrival? How do you really feel about your period?
And are these feelings supporting your experience of your fertility, pregnancy, birth and womanhood?
Yesterday we considered the wisdom of the clitoris….and its clear message regarding the importance and value of pleasure.
Where does pleasure (any kind) appear in your life….in your day? What are your pleasures?
Are they really pleasurable….does your body delight in them without depleting itself in any way? Or are they habits that lift you briefly out of the humdrum and add stress to your body ?
Is pleasure something that is timetabled in….that has its own space in your day? Just scan a day and notice all the places in which pleasure appears.
It does not have to be a major event. It could be enjoying the sunlight on your face, a smile in the crowd or watching your breath on a frosty morning.
But nature placed the clitoris (and the 8000 nerve endings!) to remind us that pleasure plays a significant role in your evolution. It is intimately connected with your fertility.
It belongs very much in your life AND in your story of pregnancy, fertility, birth and motherhood.
Could your relationship with pleasure be having an impact on your fertility, pregnancy, birth, relationship and life? If so, what might that be?
‘Fertility is a lifelong relationship with oneself - not a medical condition’ (Joan Borysenko Ph.D. cited in Dr. Christine Northrup’s book ‘Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom’).
Your fertility and your experience of pregnancy and birth do not occur in a vacuum.
Whether wanting to become pregnant or already with child and preparing for birth you might like to reflect on the following:
What is YOUR relationship with YOU like?
Is there self-criticism, harshness, pushing of yourself and anxiety?
Or do you meet yourself in kindness, softness and compassion?
It all matters in terms of your fertility and opening up to healthy pregnancy and safe, empowering birth.
Would you like to change these patterns to allow more softness into your experience of your fertility, pregnancy, birth and motherhood?
Changing these and other patterns will be covered in my upcoming 5 month coaching programme for pregnant women which begins in March.
(1) Fertility Reflection: Could Paul’s story mirror in any way your fertility? (2) Pregnancy Reflection: What aspects of this experience would you like to have in pregnancy?
(3)Birth/Conception Reflection: Paul’s amazing gift and inspiration were not apparent initially. How might that relate to the experience of conception or birth?
(4) Miscarriage reflection: Paul’s performance was brief but the impact was enormous and it lifted the crowd to a new level of awareness. Does this link in any way to your experience of miscarriage?
(5) How might this clip influence your relationship with yourself (and your dreams), your partner, your breastfeeding and how you want to parent?
You can watch it again imagining that Paul is representing your sperm, egg, womb, fertility, pregnancy, baby or body etc. as he steps beyond his perceived limits and lets his light shine.
One of the qualities associated with people who are successful is their passion.
Successful people are REALLY passionate about what they want.
They LOVE the idea of creating and achieving their goal AND… the vision of the outcome pulls them forward through any difficulties.
Passion, of course, belongs in baby making too!
At all stages…..passion belongs in moving forward with your partner, love-making, co-creating, bringing forth new life, having fun in parenthood and family life etc.
Passion also belongs in IVF and other treatments, pregnancy and birth.
For example, you might be passionate about becoming pregnant, about feeling empowered and relaxed in your birth experience, or about being a mum/dad.
They are very different mind-sets to ‘being afraid of not having children’ or ‘getting the birth out of the way’.
Passion leads you to what you really love.
Are there places in which you would like to allow more passion and joy around your fertility, pregnancy and birth experience? How could you do that today?
